We offer a rebuild and upgrade path for older office pcs. There are many uses for an older business pc for a print server or standalone web pc, network resource. In many cases pc's can be redistributed on the basis of the usage and the processor intensive nature of the task. Installation of New Hard Disks on a regular cycle will improve longevity of operation (24-36 Month) Cycle.

Asset Management: This involves categorising by usage pcs within the IT environment and making pc boxes available for recovery positions to keep your business going! For truly surplus stock we can offer on disposal path and/or part exchange against supplied Pc Systems and Servers.

New Computers: we can procure new and pre-owned hardware (low usage). All supplied computers are professionally rebuilt to specification and test benched before site delivery to ensure immediate operation. We don't build pc's from ground up, however we will specify an upgrade path for a big brand pc to achieve the same result.

Fitting older out of date accessories might present problems with desupported driver sets. To ensure long term hassle free usage specify a known brand for all computer peripherals (Branded items retain support longer). To a certain extent branded pcs fetch more in the second user markets with decent web support for motherboard and device drivers purchasers take smaller risks.

Why we don't support earlier operating systems: Earlier operating systems require a higher maintenance pattern than the more reliable NT Based operations systems Windows 2000 onwards. Whilst we understand users wish to sometimes run older programs and software for this purpose we recommend XP with its emulator for the older operating systems x95 x98 etc.., In the longer term an upgrade path to NT based windows will allow savings on future maintenance providing a professional installation with the pre-requisite pc security is planned for (Web Usage / Firewall , Virus Protection, Backup Image). In our experience rebuilt to specification pcs, properly patched with sufficient Memory/RAM resources will provide resources for access to internet, word processing, small database and general office duties for many years, providing a maintenance regime is in place.
